B.I. Electrical Services is an established Electrical Engineering Company, headquartered in Mallusk, Northern Ireland with international operations in China and Saudi Arabia.
We currently employ highly qualified JIB electrical operatives and our value system ensures that we maintain excellent staff retention levels.
Our company is built on strong relationships with our customers and B.I. Electrical Services staff. This is borne out in a deep respect for our staff and our customers. We listen to our customers’ needs and respond with extremely high customer service and a flexible approach.
B.I. Electrical Services was founded back in 1989 in Belfast, a city with a rich heritage of famous engineering innovations like the Titanic and creation of the first modern agricultural tractor. The company has evolved from humble beginnings into the successful enterprise it is today. Winning a steady stream of public sector tenders and private sector contracts across Northern Ireland and London the Company has grown steadily over the last two decades. It has naturally developed expertise in sectors such as education and the commercial and industrial sectors. At the same time the services provided by B.I. Electrical Services have evolved in response to customer needs which now include: Facilities Management, Electrical Contracting and Design and Build Services.
At the core of its success winning partnership between Ian Humphreys who founded the company and Andrew McClenaghan who started as an apprentice at the age of 18 and now a shareholder and its valued staff members. In 2012, the company was named as 24th fastest growing electrical contractor in the UK and fourth best UK trading partner by industry analysts Plimsoll.

The nature of our work helps to transform buildings to the benefit of the public, be it classrooms or hospitals. B.I. Electrical Services also believes in giving back to its industry and the community in which we operate.
The official charity for B.I. Electrical Services is the Electrical and Electronics Industries Benevolent Association, an industry charity that helps individuals who are experiencing hardship and who work, or have worked in the electrical and electronics industry across the UK. We have taking an active leadership role in this charity with, B.I. Electrical Services founder, Ian Humphreys, serving as President of the association for 2 ½ years and was the first Vice President to become President in over 106 years. Ian is currently a Trustee and Director of the Charity.
We encourage our employees to be active citizens making a positive contribution to the communities in which they live. To date we have supported a number of employee led charity initiatives such as a recent cycle ride for Action Cancer.
